Anna Kendrick and her Bellas are back for more competitive acapella singing for the third time in Pitch Perfect 3. After Pitch Perfect took the world by storm in 2012, the series has become a trilogy of pop music Aca-awesomeness. The film introduced the world to aca-puns, Glee style mashups, and comedian Rebel Wilson. This is the direct follow up to 2015’s Pitch Perfect 2.
Pitch Perfect 3 picks up after the Bellas won the World Championship in acapella singing. The girls have now found themselves living life as adults, and as a result, they have lost touch with each other. They are reunited for an opportunity to compete in an overseas USO tour, but find themselves faced up against an incredible group who uses instruments and vocals, posing as the ultimate threat. Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Ester Dean, John Michael Higgins, Elizabeth Banks, Hailee Stanfield, and Ruby Rose costar.
Anna Kendrick burst on the Hollywood scene after starring in 2009’s Up In The Air, earning her an Oscar nomination. She is now one of Hollywood’s most sought after actresses as she can act in dramas like The Accountant and do musical theater in works like Into The Woods. She will reprise her role in the upcoming Trolls 2, as well as play Nicole Claus in Noelle, and will star in next years A Simple Favor.
Our reporter Rachel Kasuch met with Anna Kendrick to discuss Pitch Perfect 3. Kendrick talks being bullied, being a fighter, working with a group of women, and more about Pitch Perfect 3. Kendrick also opens up on the pressures of singing in films, which takes a lot of work. “It’s stressful and you have to really take care of your body to sing. You can’t have cheese and you can’t drink alcohol and I can’t live like that,” admits Kendrick. “Every time I think I’m out they suck me back in and then I have to start living in a healthy way which is so boring.”

Ferdinand is the latest animated 3D comedy produced by Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox Animation starring the voice of John Cena. Cena has been one of the busiest men in the world, juggling sports, acting, voiceover, modeling, and more.
Ferdinand follows the giant bull with a big heart Ferdinand (John Cena). He is taken away from his family and must find his way back home to Spain. He rallies a group of misfits to go on an outrageous adventure to find his family. Also joining the cast of voiceover actors are: Kate McKinnon, Bobby Cannavale, Raúl Esparza, Jeremy Sisto, and NFL heavyweight Peyton Manning. The story is based on the beloved children’s book The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson.
John Cena was known for being the biggest WWE superstar in the world. After costarring in Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck in 2015, his acting career has soared and has since become one of the busiest working men in Hollywood. Ferdinand marks his fourth time lending his voice to an animated film. He starred earlier in the year in hits like Daddy’s Home 2 and The Wall. He will also star in next years Psych: The Movie, Bumblebee, and Blockers.
Rachel Kasuch of Film Inside sat down with John Cena to discuss his very busy schedule and the making of Ferdinand. Cena opens up about pet peeves, his famous joke “You Can’t See Me”, and getting back into the ring. “The only hold up there is I’m currently filming another project and they won’t let me leave,” says Cena. “Because if I go ahead and get my nose broken and come back it messes them up. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is almost here, finally! It’s been a long two years since Disney made The Force Awakens, which brought back the original Star Wars character Luke Skywalker, played by the one and only Mark Hamill.
The Last Jedi picks up where The Force Awakens left off, with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) meeting for the first time on an epic cliff overlooking the ocean. Rey joins Skywalker as she takes her first steps into the world of Jedi. Finn (John Boyega) and Poe (Oscar Isaac) joint he pair to unlock the mystery of the Force, as well as secrets from the past. Carrie Fisher give her last screen performance as Leia. Also joining the cast are: Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Billie Lourd, Benicio Del Toro, Gwendolyn Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, and Laura Dern. The film is directed by Rian Johnson (Looper). The Last Jedi was filmed on location in Croatia, Ireland, England, Bolivia, and North Carolina.
Mark Hamill took quite a long break from acting before starring in The Force Awakens in 2015. He is rumored to come back for Star Wars Episode IX in 2019, and will star in this years TV film Relatively Super, as well as the film Con Man. The Last Jedi will mark as the last on screen pairing of Mark Hamill and the late Carrie Fisher.
Film Inside’s reporter Rachel Kasuch sat down with Mark Hamill to discuss the making of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Hamill discusses strengths, family, and all of the different locations Star Wars has been filmed. He also opens up on the difference between living in a fantasy world versus reality. “We want escapism, it’s therapeutic,” says Hamill. “To go somewhere, in this case a galaxy far, far away, where you can forget all your troubles. And that’s what I do, I’m in the business of escapism.”
